The Vaccine II

This Lorne Richardson oil on canvas, measuring 210mm x160mm,  including the frame, is an abstract work illustrating the imagined shape and colour of the emotional response to a vacinne immediately after immunisation. The opposing purples and yellows convey the contrary feelings of suffering and hope against the dark background of worry and loss but in this second picture the pale blue is more prolific and, with the sharp scratched lines, gives a sense of immediate pain coupled with relief.
