This oil on canvas measuring 270mm x210mm including the frame, part of 'The Garden Collection,' shows the Beautiful Demoiselles flying around the river, searching for a mate. They seem like black butterflies when they first catch your eye but when they land, and you can see them closely, the lovely greens and blues show up and you realise they are a kind of Damselfly.
