Lancaster over Reculver
This oil on canvas depicts a Lancaster bomber flying over Reculver on the North Kent Coast. The grassy meadow has been scorched by the sun over a series of hot summer days and now sways with breeze. Not only celebrating the beauty of the Kent coastline and the towers of the Reculver ruin but also the contribution of the Lancaster, Reculver and 617 Squadron to the war effort for the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.
