Trees of Eternal Memory

It's the year 40 BCE; you find yourself walking through an olive grove on a Greek island. You stumble across a small building in clearing and realise you have found the temporary residence of Livia Drusilla. She is in exile from Rome to avoid the wrath of Octavian. You wonder what's in the pot and, on further inspection, you see it's full of material being dyed purple. It seems strange that there are no guards and as you step towards the door, a voice calls you from behind that brings you 2000 years back to the present day.
